holy *** I need help guys
k i was getting ready to install my headers and i happen to run apon my steering box and a ****ing huge hole in my frame it is the worst ive seen on a thirdgen ,i need help ill post some pics i know its not weldable because theres a hole
i thought there was a problem but i never looked into it ive only had the gta about 3 months, when im driving it has a popping sound from the drivers front but the car is lowered so i just thought it was a bad strut untill i saw this ,,,

3 this is the bolt were it bolts to the car it has ripped the metal in
guys i need help anyone please i dont know what to do people say weld it well its a huge hole so no or use a peace of 1/8 metal witch i have and a welder but i heard that ****s up the alighnment of stuff

ya i knwo and i have one and some metal but how would i go about fixing it because its so big of a hole do i just slap a peace over it and weld it or what

Fixing that hole wont be a problem(i'm a lisenced welder)..You can go about it two ways that would work...
1: get a peice of say 1/8th steel(rectangluar) shape with a 90 degree bend..lay it over the frame where the hole is and have it seal(whole way around) welded to the frame.
or
2: get that hole cut to a square shape(big enough to remove all rotted metal) and get a new square peice of the same size welded in it's place..Put a small bevel or leave an open root(1/16th or so) to ensure full penetration of the weld.

thanks man i just saw how big the hole was and how much **** i was going to have to remove and i got alittle scared
