Has any one seen one of these before?
They were made for 4th gens, but I have a thought that they might fit the 3rd gen. Being that the jegster unit fits 1982-2002.
BTW this is the last one they had and it is on the way to my house so hope it fits.

that badboy is identical to the jegster unit....it will bolt up just fine in your car, however, i'm going to suggest against running a short t/a like that as you will run into suspension bind issues. Spohn and BMR both make really nice units and i suggest those over anything else any day.

Isnt the BMR extreme a short arm?
well, IHI has had really good results with his...maybe my fathers car was just wierd...but the spohn t/a that we run now works WAY better. we also used the non-adjustable style, which may be why we ran into suspension bind...but that's what we had issues with...the suspension would stay preloaded and when we hit the tire off the line, it would wheel hop. now, it doesn't do that. the car sits lower now too, but the biggest thing is, is that there is much more movement in the suspension...the first trip to the track with the car in the trailer proved that. there was all kinds of dirt and rocks under the car where it had shaken loose! the other t/a wouldn't allow the car to move up and down as well.

I would'nt call that suspension bind, I would call that too much anti squat since these short arms bring the IC alot further back than the longer stock style.
The fact you said it wheel hopped shows the anti squat was rather high and the short arm was doing it's job, but I do agree soemthing was a miss to wheel hop, guess my next question would be were they a radial tire desgin on your father car or bias ply? we all knkow radial have no room for error on any car with desent hp and suspension set-up is CRITICAL for running radial tires (drag radials anyways) since there is no give/flex in the sidewall like the bias ply offers and needs to work correctly. all slicks need to be "shocked" when running descent hp or else they'll unwind and unload the chasis and casue spin a few feet out of the box. So long as all the nuts and bolts were tightend up correctly and shocks were not to stiff I have to say it did it's job, but you guys were used to the longer torque arm transfering the power into the chasis instead of hitting the tires.
As I've noted before after intalling my short arm, before with stock tq arm, car would squat down on the leave, after installing the short arm, car actually stays the same or slightly raises on the hit due to the IC being so much further back....reminds me of the old dodge leaf spring cars-they spearate when they launch-same thing happens with the short arm. It's a good thing to a point, but as I found out with a small tire I'm on the ragged edge for consistant traction and will be going back to a long arm to tame it down some and get bigger wheelies...cuz they're cool

YEAH! it would try to seperate like an old stocker car...we were running a Drag Radial at the time...pops car is running a 28x10.5 M/T ET Drag now though...
