my old power steering pump would leak and sometimes the fluid would get pretty low....so i swapped out the pump and it still is really stiff when i first start up the car and move it from left to right....it seems to move left from center but if i go right it sticks the first couple times and then it is alright.....what do you guys think???

if my steering box was going out would it be smarter to replace it with a steering box or find a rack and pinion setup and swap it in.....what would fit???

any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks!

 

Actually I am curious about the answer to this also,I have the same problem.I don't have any leaks but my steering is really stiff when cold.And I am not talking 10 degrees cold but 45 degrees outside temp even and it is really stiff till the engine generates some heat.Are we talking steering box here?I have already changed the steering fluid.
