rack-n-pinion on 3rd gen

anyone running a rack and pinion on a third gen if so what kind and is it a reg. rack or a pinto rack and anyone got any pics

it's been done, many times. Most are using aftermarket tubular k-member also. - But I've seen it w/ the stock k-member, and a little bracket building/welding. It's gets ya little weight savings(power rack) plus can free up some engine bay if done right. - I'm setting my car up w/ a mid 80's t-bird power rack. It's fairly easy to mount, has common pump line hook-ups, and has a good ratio...

I can get some pics of a manual rack on a 3rdgen drag car in a week or two(buddys car) it's a "stock" front stub because of the class it was built for. -

yea dude if u could get those pics that would be cool i forgot to put that it is gonna be a manual rack with a tubular k-member.

Did they make a manual rack for f-bodies. I want to run a manual rack for my road race car. I'll be running a tubular k-member but I'm not sure where to get a rack.

no rack and pinions were designed for a 3rdgen. You'll have to fabricate.
