Need PICS of similar set up
Need PICS of similar set up
I am taking my car to the shop in a few days and I need some pictures to take as an example of how I want my car to stand and look. I want to get some Weld draglites or pro stars or maybe some crager wheels and I want them to tuck well and not stick out at all. If anyone can post your ideas of sizing and suspension and post pics of similar set ups. I found a pic of kinda what Im looking for and I will post it. I want to know how much I need to lower the car to achieve this aggressive looking stance. I dont want to have to tub it, just want to buy wheels, tires and springs. I also need to know what backspacing should be to achieve my goal stand and look. All info and pics are greatly appreciated!!

pic in sig. front 165 metric VW tires on 15x4. no backspacing since there is only one size. Rear 15x8 4.5 BS on 275/60 tire. Also run 28x10.50 slicks as well.
Actually... I just found exactly what I want in this picture. Does anyone know the this type of wheel, its size and tire dimensions and how much this car is lowered. I absolutely LOVE it! Thanks!

15x8's with a 4.5" backspacing or 15x10's with 5.5" backspacing will do what you want for the back. the fronts are 15x3.5's.
for tires, not sure what diameter you need, but a 275/60/15 tire will fill the fender well up really well as it's 28" tall, about 9.5-10" wide, so it's a decent sized tire. a 295/50/15 tire is about 11" wide, but only 26.6" tall and thus a need for lowering to get the desired fender gap.
either way you look at it, you'll be doing some "massaging" on the inner fender well to get the look you are trying to accomplish.

Thank you. What exactly is inner fender massaging and how is that done? Also, does anyone know who owns that red camaro in the picture above?
Also, which would be the smarter route? Going with the 275/60/15 tire and NOT lowering the car or going with the 295/50/15 and lowering it?
Is the red one above lowered, it appears to be.
