Subframe Connectors
Subframe Connectors
OK, so I did a search and it seems that Spohn SFC's are the one of choice.
My question is why?
What makes them better than the ones that Hotchkis, Edelbrock, UMI etc... makes?
Is there really enough difference between them to justify an extra $100 ?

Well to be honest, you get what you pay for with suspension equip. Spohn does make top notch stuff. I use a few of his parts on my drag car and havebeen very happy with them.
For frame connectors, I have used the Jeg's bolt ins on 2 of my cars so far. I like to bolt them in and then drive the car to a place to have them welded along the seams.
No matter which one you go with, make sure they are welded in and it will definately make a difference.

personally the only ones to stay away from are the comp engineering(theyre a good company and local to me to boot buy the sfc is utter crap)

"Best" has alot to do with what you would consider "good" in the first place.
What matters to you?
Weight?
Strength?
Ease of installation?
Compatibility with all possible aftermarket parts?
Price?
Appearance?
Use (drag race, street, autocross, etc.)?
And so on.
There is no one universal "best", everybody should else just pack up and go home, because they're made for different applications.

Spohn used to make the boxed style SFC until they change the the design to the tube type. I waited for the tube design and had very good results with the fit and clearances. I now had them for about five years.
