noob suspension questions

Im thinking about getting an F-body. Im used to messing around with imports (no i was not rice so if your going to start with that just cool it). But with imports im sick of the overpricing with not as much power in return of how much money i throw at it. as far as suspension goes a friend of mine told me that 3rd gen F-bodys would be best for a road race scenario, does anyone have suggestions as for what to look for? im used to independant suspension and all so im not sure as what companies make for a good handling f-body. i know for sure that mainly what this car is going to be used for which is a winding road coarse me and some friends do around where we live bit the lil four cylinders arent cutting it on the straights anymore and im ready for something with real power, so someone please help me with finding a way to make an F-body handle good, any insight is appreciated.

first handling mods should be...

Good tires
Good struts
An aggressive alignment

Before you screw with any of the above mentioned stuff, you should work on stiffening it up with subframe connectors, wonderbar and maybe a strut tower brace. None of that will help without a stiff foundation to bolt it to

Coil overs have mixed reviews for our cars. With the conventional setup you can get pretty great preformance. This being said, I havent read any real heavy duty use of coilover made for our cars either.

spohn.net makes the only coilover setup for our cars id trust driving on.

Im saying coil-overs on our cars are kind of uncharted, spohn just recently began offering them, not many people have tried them. And nobody that does any serious racing has posted any reviews that I have seen.

Ground control weight jacks and koni yellows seem to be the hot setup for those who are competetive.
