Cutting sleeve on sway bar end link?

Car: 91 Camaro RS
Engine: L03 chip, airfilter,dual exhaust..m
Transmission: 5-spd
Cutting sleeve on sway bar end link?
I'm replacing the front sway bars on my 91RS (FE1) with 34mm. The question is: The sleeves in the Energy Suspension end links kit are longer then the ones off car. Do I need to trim cut them down or are they longer because of the larger sway bar?

I jacked up my son's 91 so they would fit on the car and set it down to tighten.
