Help! Right turns are poor, but left is great

The car is not balanced between a left and right turn. A left turn feels great,-awesome response, very little understeer, but the right turn feels terrible. I tested it the other day, driving down the road doing slalom type turns about 35 mph -when you turn the wheel to the right and there almost seems to be a delay before the left front wheel "bites" and starts to turn the car and you can hear the tires slipping on the road. I am not sure if the problem is understeer, or some other issue. I am afraid to turn hard to the right because it just does not feel correct. A left turn feels great, it turns hard and stays glued.

This condtion has been there for years, through two front end alignments (stock specs) and two sets of tires. I am replacing the sway bar links but I do not hold much hope there.

Anyone know why a right turn would feel so much different than the left turn?

I would really like to fix this.
Thanks

Check your tie rods in particular and steering system in general for anything cracked, bent, or broken.
