As of now i have 225-65-15's all around.. 65's are hard to take off when, The road is wet, sand on the pavement, and when im at the drags,
Best 60ft is 2.5 seconds worst was 3.8seconds with a .79 reaction... I dont think 60's will make a big enough diffrence.. maybe 55 or 50's? what's the widest i can get without backspacing? I only want 2 wide tires for the rear.. i think everyone can understand that..
Thanks, Nick

You're getting wheel spin cause 225's are tiny. The largest you can go would be 245/55/15, and there is not a lot of tire selection in that size.
What would be better for drag racing and street?

Wider would be better.
You could get some 16" Z28/Iroc wheels and put on 255/50 tires for even more performance

50's will fit? I wont have clearance problems?

255/50 on 16" IROC/Z28 rims will fit fine. Just make sure you get the right one. The front and rear offsets are different

If you do a search you'll find that people have run 275's on the stock 15x7's, you could even do a Drag Radial. It wouldnt be within the recommended widths, but because there is so much sidewall the 275's baloon and stretch, and according to some people on these forums, works great. If I did it with 15x7's for drag racing application I would go wider than 235's but not as wide as 275, maybe 255 or something in the rear and then 225's in the front.
