Do a search on the boards. Member 87_TA has posted a good bit about the advertising and quality control of PA products.

I guess PA figures as long as it fits into the jig, then just weld it as they lay. SO much for craftsmenship and quality control on the plate bends- scared to think how fast the welder did his job and proper settings and penetration were made.

Search PA's history around here about Shannons A-arm busting. I don't trust the company.

I would recommend sending it back and getting a refund. But that for the record is simply MY opinion and not ment to hurt anyone feelings so If in the event I have- then my appologies up front. Just stating what I know to be valid info from actual postings on this board.

I do not think you will get a refund. Read the links I posted. Its all in the fine print of PA Racings advertisement. They are a misleading company...IMO.

ive read all the bad news on them and have read some good news as well...i guess if it doesnt hurt the overall integrity of the piece then it doesnt matter all that much...its not a show car yet so noone will look under the car anyways i suppose...it does suck tho and i do agree they obviously lack in their craftsmanship...the knew when they slapped that sticker on there it was way out of wack and yet the sent it to me anyways...

the truth will come with the install...i bought a pair of their a arms so no mismatching would happen and they should fit w/NO problems...well c i guess...the minute i find out they dont fit well...ill be giving them a call to find out how i can get my money back or get a new one that is build with precision and not to get it out of the shop asap

they screwed up on my first kmember and caught the mistake before sending it to me...then built the next one the next day and sent it to the powdercoaters the nxt...i hope it was built well and i have no serious problems

however i did just look at their site and both of their example k member pics look exactly like mine...i dunno why its designed like that but it looks the exact same so maybe its not messed up after all

hey, you guys know that the motor sits in these cars offset to the passenger side right? it's not supposed to be symetrical.

thx for clearing that up man...like i said before i noticed how the rest of their kmembers were setup and mine was identical...i still dont see why they couldnt make that bend slightly different to make the space equal but i hope its simply because of structural support problems and they made it to the best of their ability

once again...the welds are very nice and penny welded...i know some people have had problems with them...some people havent...so far everything looks good when compared to how they show it to be on the site

PA Racing had some problems a few years ago with one batch of k-members, they fixed the problem but for some reason people still think they have issues. now you know that the k-member you have is not designed for daily drivers or cars built to handle, right? they are pretty much for drag racing only.

well pretty soon the car will only be occasionally driven...weekends and such...i dont see why it couldnt be used as a daily driver...plus it should be able to be driven on at all times and raced...i know they have the race feature that is a bit thicker...but i asked them all these questions and they assured me that what i picked out was right for my application

I think they should not sell the problem ones to the public. They figured they did not want to loose ANY money, and sold even the bad stock. From what I read on TGO, alot of the problems are more current than a few years ago. BTW, Matt cool coverage from Canada.

i don't think they knew it was a bad stock when they were selling them, though i'm sure it would have been a good idea to put them through more testing before they sold them. the guys over at PA Racing are good guys and normally treat folks right. the k-member is a nice piece...it's a toss up between those guys and BMR for me at this point. i've talked with both company heads a few times and both are very down to earth and want to see their product on everyones car. it's a tough choice...

If you're going to use a tubular k member on the street, do yourself a favor and get the AJE one made for road racing. It fits well, the A-arms are beefy, and the design looks much sturdier. Shannon got lucky when her PA a-arm broke; another minute and she would have been on the interstate. PA did give her a refund eventually, and I respect them for that, but no one gets a second chance with me when lives are at stake.

well every product and every car ever made is gonna have some kinda default or break or something and that doesnt mean you should condemn the entire business bc of one foul up...they made it right thank god shannon was alright and nothing bad ended up coming from it...every year hundreds of people die from automotive defects in cars that are brand new and some fairly new yet not everyone stops buying that companies product...you just have to be realistic about it...if you sell a product no matter how gauranteed...after a certain amount of time one or two are gonna have problems or be defective...thats why you have customer service and you give refunds

i also think that if a k member and a arms are meant for POWERFUL drag cars they should be able to take the wear and tear of daily/weekend driving...a car lifting its front end and it slamming back to the ground should be equivalent to a year of wear and tear of daily driving if you ask me but thats just a guesstimate and i could be wrong..i hope not...im not disagreeing with 66nova at all and i agree it is meant for racing purposes but it does say they are good for weekend warriors and thats what mine will be when its done

for a weekend warrior, it'll be great. a drag car doesn't see things like potholes and sudden braking. lots more up and down movement going down the street for 50 miles a day than 10 1/4mile trips a weekend.

actually, daily driving is harder on it then drag racing. drag cars dont see potholes, expansion joints, ect... and i drive more to and from work in one day then most drag cars see in an entire season.

that said....

i have over 23,000 street miles on my Kmember/Aarms so far.

i looked at mine and it's the same way. there was a little forcing need to get the motor mounts to mount right, but it fits quite well. i plan on driving my car on weekends and maybe once or twice thru the week. so hopefully it all holds up just fine. should!!!! for 450+ dollars.
