Tierod and centerlink replacement.
is it possible to remove the Tierod from the Centerlink and steering knuckle with out a Pickle fork and not damage the centerlink or knuckle? i bought all the parts to replace the centerlink, Tierod ends, and adjusting sleeves.
i was able to change all but the pass side tierod parts at a friends shop easily but the morons at oreillys had a part boxed wrong and that happend to be the last ones they had. well the shop is not open tomorrow and i dont have the money to rent a pickle fork. can i change them without one?

a pickle fork is dirt cheap and actually the better tool to use is a TRE puller that will push on the end of the joint stud rather than just wedge like a fork does,
TRE puller is really alot like a pitman arm puller, same principle, on some TRE's you can use an actual pitman arm puller
Powerbuilt Steering & Suspension Tools
these tools are dirt cheap and some places will rent them to you for free
many slight variations in the tools, same purpose though, not rocket science
good luck

Take the nut off of the tie rod and whack the knuckle with a hammer. Tap the end of the tie rod stud and PRESTO, your tie rod is off.
