found the rims, gotta tire ?
looking at the '02 SS wheels, 17x9 or 17x9.5, wanted to know what the widest tire i could run on all four corners would be that wouldn't rub up front? it'd also make tire rotation possible.

Be carefull if you need spacers,,, SLP has 4th gen type wheels for our 3rd gen cars and you do NOT need a spacer. P275/40R17s (25.67" OD) might fit, but I would check around on this matter. Otherwise, P245/45R17s (25.67" OD) should have no clearance issues.

Run the 275/40r17s on all four corners. They fit fine with no rub even with an eibach pro- kit drop. I ran these on my old 17x9.5 corvette zr1s.
thanks for the input ya'll. only reason i say 275's is b/c every set i've seen (which has only been two on ebay, if anyone know a place to get a set lemme know) were running 275's. i don't make the power to need a huge contact patch but id like to make up in the corners what i lack on the straight. also, how much did the pro-kit lower your car and does it ride better than stock? what shocks/struts are you using if they're not the stockers?
