Need suspension help

I am building a 1991 RS and need to stay within a VERY tight budget that is already stretched so thin it's transparent.
The goal is to make the stock suspension hook well enough for a few "glory" passes, I was hoping some of you have a few tips and tricks to help modify the stock junk to get the power down. This is my first atttempt to go fast with a 3rd gen and here is what I am working with:

Mild carbed 350 engine with a huge NOS kit
DYNAMIC racing transmission th350 and 9 1/2" converter
10 bolt with 3.73 gears and an Auburn
B+M th350 adapter kit
10" wide wheels with MT drag radials
Chassis Eng. subframes
everything but the kitchen sink ripped out/rusted off the car

I have already welded the axle tubes and plan to box the lowers, and am looking at ways to adjust the torque arm (any ideas?).
Before anyone posts a reply to "save up and buy ____" don't waste your time, this is not about how much I have to spend it's about building the fastest car I can for X amount of dollars.

Take your front sway bar off.
Get Lower control arm relocation brackets.
Box lower control arms
get poly bushings for lower control arms and torque arm
Put battery in the truck
Remove any weight off the front of car.
get skinny tires in front

get 90/10 shocks in front if you have $
get 50/50 shocks in back if you have $

I don't have the shocks or skinnies yet and my best 60ft is 1.82.
The relocation brackets and bushings are cheap

Good Luck.

agreed. Boxing stock LCA's and LCA brackets will help a lot, and that's cheap. You don't need to do much to your torque arm, poly bushing ($20) is about it. Just make sure it's tight. Some nice rear shocks will help too, again, those are cheap.
KYB gas-a-just's are cheap and work well. Not sure how they stack up to "50/50" 's, I don't speak in those fractions..?

Remove anything that's not doing anything useful for you, from under the hood.

I will have to see if I can sell some items off the car so I can get a set of relocation brackets then I need to see how the car sits after the SFCs are on it.
As far as the shocks go I will run what is there and modify/change them as I go but only with freebie parts to stay under the required $$ amount. I'm $200 over so I need to hit ebay and sell off some items from the car to stay legal.

Thanks but I already bought a set from another board member.

I boxed the lowers and dumped the front sway bar like I said I would, after the LCA relocation brackets are in I will take it to the track and test it out.

Sorry, no before test. The car was only 1/2 done when I bought it so I am doing as much as possible before track time. If the 350 dies a 400 will replace it.
