removing/installing k-member?

It looks to be a pretty straight foward job but I figure it would not hurt to ask some questions. Do I need an engine hoist to support the engine while I remove the k-member, or is there another way to support it, like placing a jack with some wood under the oil pan?

For those who have done this before I would really appreciate some advise like things you could have done to make it a little easier. I would appreciate any tips, thank you for your time.

your best bet is a hoist to support it but you can use a block of wood under the oil pan, remove the springs and a-arms, 6 bolts and a couple support brackets hold the kmember up, watch out for the brake lines attached to it.
