how do i figure out what diameter sway bar i ve stock. i have an 89 rs with a 2.8 v6 if that helps. I went to summitracing.com and i found energy sway bar bushings that ive heard great things about and its supposed to be a cheap upgrade to good handling but they have so many different sizes and i dont know which one mine is. also i dont have a caliper to gauge the bar exactly. the only way i can think is use pie(3.14) and try to figure it out but are some sections bigger than others or is the bar the exact same size all over?

Trying to do this because its 100= cheaper than the sway bar itself.

 

Use open-end wrenches. Whatever sixe wrench fits over it, that's what size it is.
