motor and tranny mount

To all the PRO's that have done engine and tranny swaps, what or which motor mount and tranny mount do yall recommend?

350 motor
350 turbo tranny using the SPOHN crossmember with torque arm.

Most people use the Energy suspension motor and tranny mounts. Both work great though the motor mount raises the motor up in the engine bay and can cause certain intake manifolds to touch the hood.

I used Prothane instead of Energey suspension. I don't know if this is true, but heard the the ES tranny mount was not the correct height. So just in case I ordered the Prothane brand

I'm not a pro, but I just used new stock rubber mounts. I didn't want excess vibrations. I'm keeping an eye on my tranny mount, if it fails as quickly as some people say they do, then i'll go poly on that.

I broke 3 stock trans mounts before I went poly.

I use ES motor and tranny mounts. It may be that the ES motor mounts are stock height but that "seem" to raise the motor because the OEM's have simply collapsed. With a drop base air cleaner, I experienced to problem with fit. The tranny mounts fit fine.

I also agree to go poly with the tranny mount atleast, cuz if your motor is going to be making some decent power your going to go through them like hot cakes.

I used an ES poly trans mount and once it "breaks in" there is no additional vibration at all. I just use stock motor mounts and not had any problems with them.
