Problem with tires jumping near full-lock
Hey guys, I wanted to get some opinions.. Does anyone know what could cause the tires to jump when I have the wheel turned fairly far in left or right direction? I've got 16" wheels and 245/50R16 tires (stock)... Is it an alignment issue?? I just got some turntables and am waiting on my caster/camber gauges to arrive.. I've got new tires ready, and want to get this figured out.. I did lower my car to be able to get the camber closer to spec. Aluminum heads/fiberglass hood made it sit too high and the camber adjustment was maxed out (and wearing the outer edges of my tires).. Lemme know what you think..

Car: Yes
Engine: Usually
Transmission: Sometimes
Axle/Gears: Behind me somewhere
They all do that. Been doing since the day they were new in 82.
Worse when you back up.
You want to set the alignment to L caster +3 to 3.5°, R caster +3.5 to 4°, L camber -.5°, R camber -1°. Toe in around .050".

Though I haven't gotten my alignment set up yet, I did put the new tires on... Problem solved... Yeah, sofa, you were right, they all have a tendency to "want" to do that... Mine did it bad from the wear that was caused previously on the outer parts of the tires... Now, with nice new G-Force KDWS, no problems at all!! (and they grip a helluva lot better!!) Thanks for the reassurance though, sofa, you are an asset to this board..
