Re: Enlighten me!

1st no matter what, no matter what brand, get Subframe connectors and a wonder bar.

I upgraded to 36mm front sway bar and 24mm rear sway bar.
And I just purchased Lower Control arms and a panhard bar from UMI.

I also suggest replacing the shocks and struts, I went with Koni Yellows, but they might be overkill for you, depends on what you wanna do.

Re: Enlighten me!

Re: Enlighten me!

I got some of my stuff from the junk yard or from the classified section here.

Also check out the board sponsers: UMI, Spohn, and TDS.

Re: Enlighten me!

Wonderbars were only available on IROCs, but a lot of people added them to there cars. The best way is to measure the sways on the car, but they were on most Iroc's, Z28's and all WS6 Pontiac's.

Re: Enlighten me!

A kit of poly bushings is fairly cheap, and will drastically increase the handling of the car. Along with a set of SFC's and it'll feel like a race car. (assuming your springs and shocks are still good... if not, $1000 grand total and it will feel like a race car - compared to stock).

I wouldn't count on finding a good sway bar or wonderbar in the JY, unless you're really lucky. A wonderbar is about $60 from Spohn I think. Sway bars are around $140 I think, and probably come with the frame bushings. Throw in the endlink bushings for $20 and you're set.

I see them all the time in the Junk yards, I guess I should start pulling them off and selling them for a profit. Sway bars are $12 and a wonderbar is $10 at the yards around here.
