ready to pull my hair out!
well heres my dillema,
soon i wil be starting ripping out all the old suspension and puttin in my new stuff, i want to run a slick, the closest one i could find is a 275-50-15, that closley matches my cobra r's that are 245-45-17, in overall diameter of 25.7-8 now the hair pulling...
this thing is getting all the goodies, moser 9" with ls1 disc rears, lakewood lower control arms and adj panhard bar, spohn relocation brackets as well as some eibach sportline springs....
the rear has 4.56 gears and a detriot true trac, but i think traction will be a bitch unless i run a half decent slick, i was wanting to go with a summit weld look alike thats 15x8 with a 4.5 backspace, i am scared that i will run into fitment problems or fenderlip contact..
i really don't want to start bashing my baby with a hammer..., can you guys throw any suggetions? i know it's been asked a hundred times, but i am more worried about it being lowered than anything..... if you have any pics that would be awsome!
sorry about the inconvienace
adam.
p.s. i have been reading posts about guys running a 4" up front and saying theres only 1 size they offer, summit has the weld knockoffs but with a 1.75 bs, will this work pretty good?

Re: ready to pull my hair out!
the only thing i would be concerned with is with a 15'' wheel i've seen some ls1 guy's not be able to put 15's on because they hit the caliper. i would get the rear end first and then measure. i run the stock 10 bolt and a 15'' 26x10.5. i have fit a 28x10.5 MT. but i had to make some room.

Re: ready to pull my hair out!
Im pretty sure the LS1 rear caliper will only have to be ground down a little to get a 15" wheel on it, and my car has 28x10.5s and i think it needs to be lowered around an inch to an inch and a half. and 1.75 bs on a 15x3.5 front wheel is fine. i dont know about a 4"
