sportlines 1'' higher 1 side

hey just bought some sportlines and installed them twice one of the front springs are higher so car sits 1'' higher on one side thought it was just not sitting proper so i switched sides and same thing happened also took out the rubber isolator and put thiner pieces of rubber just to see if it was causing a problem but no 1'' higher 1 spring. Now i have to do it for a third time and hope they replace them.great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! also it sit so high it raises the rear so the rear sits high on one side to ???????? thought my car might be bent but no just shity sportlines................ if you have the springs sitting on the ground is one 1" higher? did you index them when you put them in?

Re: sportlines 1'' higher 1 side

when u installed them did the 1" higher lift follow the bad spring when u switched it? if it didnt then the spring on the one side isnt sitting fully in the pocket, alot of times ppl install them and one side sits higher, something might be in the pocket as well. i actually removed my passenger front WS6 spring and a 2/3 of a broken coil fell out but was stuck to the rubber isolator, its a pain to get them to sit right even tho my sportlines went in perfectly the first time, if u got em out check to see if one sits higher than the other...bc ive never heard of that happeneing before. also check the part#s that are on the springs so they match.

The bottom end of the coil should be placed between the two drain holes in the a-arm.

Re: sportlines 1'' higher 1 side

yea check for the part #'s and if they stand at the same height on a flat bench, and as JamesC said make sure u index them, the two drain holes are basically the lowest point of the pocket, if their not indexed the car hieght will be affected

Re: sportlines 1'' higher 1 side

ok heres an update removed the swaybar put the car back down and still nothing put the rear springs in and car still sits 1/2'' off but i dont have a spare tire/jack in the rear passenager side or a passenger seat in there right so iam just going to go with it like that for now and bring it to a body shop to see if the car is straight or not. if it aint get it straighted and put on some frame connecters maybe a little to much abuse!!!!

I am having a similar issue... i just put my sportlines in yesterday and the front almost seems like it's higher than stock? What could this be? The back looks great, the front, not so much...

Many members seem disappointed after swapping in lowering springs. It may be because the original springs have sagged to the point where lowering springs don't make a difference in ride height--or perhaps actually raise the car a bit.

Re: sportlines 1'' higher 1 side

I see what you mean... I just dont understand why the back is how it is supposed to be and the front like you said looks raised. A member on a different forum suggested that they may not be seated in the A arm correctly. If so, will this clear up the issue?

Yes, the front springs must be indexed/seated properly or the car will sit high. See the info above.

Re: sportlines 1'' higher 1 side

everyone gets frustrated with eibach springs when they first do them. ive had so many on all different kinds of cars. my iroc has the sportlines on it now.....and just 2 weeks ago i put pro kits on my 07 scion tc. if you just put them on they will EVENTUALLY drop and even out if everything is re assembled right. my iroc took about 3 weeks till they all evened out. and my TC is still lop sided after 2 weeks but slowly settleing. eibachs are one of the best quality springs out there and they take a while to settle. but also with the age of our 3rd gens, i would replace shocks and struts to. a blown or week shock or strut on one corner will sag lower then the other corner.
