How long can my Koni last?

I installed the whole Koni suspension kits in my '83 Camaro, struts, shocks, lowered springs and front and rear roll bars back in the mid '80; after over 20+ years it still ride very firm, the car only got 64,000 miles on the odometer. Neither the struts nor shocks leak any oil. How long do you guys think it can last? Will changing to new Koni again improve the ride at all. I am still undecide whether I should stick with Koni or give Bilstein a try.

Thanks

You don't have to buy new ones, you can however send yours back to Koni and they will rebuild them for you. I don't know how much it is tho.

Re: How long can my Koni last?

Thanks for the idea of having the shocks rebuild. I called up KONI North America they would charge $140 per strut and $110 per shock for rebuilding. This makes sense if you are rebuilding racing shocks and for street shocks just buy new ones. The rep that I spoke to was extremely helpful and he asked me to have it sent in for a dyno test before a rebuild is necessary or not.
