Spohn's Carbed/TPI STB
STB for carb and TPI are on my R&D list for the summer, they'll be
out by Fall.

Hey, Steve,
Just checking in with an inquiry. Any chance you will or are
developing an STB for carbed application with driver's side AC
compressor? If not, are there any on the market that might work with
a bit of modification?

I think that is part of the problem with developing a STB for carbs apps. There are so many different options for air cleaner setups as well as d.s or p.s AC compressors... Im still waiting for one to be developed as well since i am not one to make my own brace.

So I see its the usual reply to this item. Spohn must have no plans of making it if its been this long. I have ignored my car and been away from here for almost 3 years and I come here and i really LOLed at the no STB yet. I used to email him about it a couple times a month a few years ago.

I started asking about 2000 or so, I think. In the last week or so, I swapped in a GM serpentine conversion kit, so the infamous brace is no longer a problem. I purchased an Edelbrock 3-pt, which I hope to install early next week. Simply put, I got tired to waiting.

Re: Spohn's Carbed/TPI STB
Only two types need to be made just like edelbrock does it. One for TPI and the other for TBI/carb, the dual snorkel guys will more than likely be SOL. I'm not going to say its easy per say, but not difficult especially for something he was supposedly working on 3+ years ago.
