Help me lower my 60' time....please!

I currently run a 1.57 60' time and want to lower it down into the 1.4's.

The current setup is

Lakewood 70/30 struts, no front sway bar
Jegster frame connectors and 6-point cage.
Lakewood 50/50 shocks
Eiback drag launch springs
Tubular A-Arms
Edelbrock LCAs
Spohn LCA relocation brackets
Hotchkis Panhard rod
Air Lift bag (10psi driver, 25psi passenger)
Random Technologies Torque Arm
Stock rear sway bar with poly bushing and endlinks

Car weight 3680 with driver. Has 4.11 gears with 26" tire. 700R4 with 3800 convertor.

Will switching to Lakewood 90/10's in the front help? Anyone hwave experience with the Spohn Drag Rear Sway Bar?

I want to make sure I am maximizing my suspension before making drivetrain mods to go faster

Thanks guys!

What tires are on it?
Are you getting a lot of wheel spin? I mean, do you think the grip (and not power) is what's limiting your 60' time?
26" tall tire seems quite small for that time.

Do you have any video of your launch? Do you think the front end is coming up enough? etc?

26" tall tire, 4.11 gears, 700R4 with 3800 stall converter running high 11's and you're unhappy with a 1.57 60' time? With a 60' time like that, you should be in the mid to high 10's. I'd worry about why you're not getting a lower ET first. The 118 MPH should put you in the mid to low 11's.

Want to go faster? Take about 400 pounds out of the car. It's too heavy. Heavy cars and quick times are hard on parts.

I agree, 11.8's on that 60 with that mph should be lower 11's for sure.

the suspension sounds good so far, bringing the fronts up more might get some more weight transfer back there and help plant but i think you have more ET in there

Re: Help me lower my 60' time....please!

Thanks for the input guys. I was not sure if that ET matched the 60' time or not. I am having a trans issue where I cannot hold the gears manually, s I have to let the trans shift itself at 5500 or so (motormakes power to 7500 or so )

I am using a 26" tire because I had bought a set when I had a 305 motor in there and they have been good to me so far. Mickey Thompson ET Drags. I was thinking about stepping up to a 28" tire but then the RPM at the high end would go down about 400 or so.

The car squats good off the launch. Front driver tire comes up about an inch, passenger side it at the limit of suspension travel, but does not come up.

I guess then the 60' is about as good as it going to get for now.

Thanks again guys for all the responses

Re: Help me lower my 60' time....please!

all i could think of is a higher stall.. but like everyone else said, 118 should put you lower into the 11's.. look at my sig, i go 11.89 @ 115.. and a crappy 1.73 60ft..

get the trans issue worked out, shift at what you should (around 7400 i'd say) and low 11's are in the bag.. another thing, if it were me, i would get a 28" tire on there with gearing that will set me at my shift point through the traps.. but thats for the hardcore racer, wanting every bit of power through the race.. 7500 peak is asking for 4.88 gearing on a 28" tire..

Yep, I was going to say go with a deeper screw like a 4.56 or 4.88. My old superbee was going 10.90s @ 117-119.

Re: Help me lower my 60' time....please!

That's a good short time for the ET and weight of the car.
I 3rd the deeper gear. 7500 with a 26" tire needs around a 4.56, the 28" tire with a 4.88 would make for a more consitent 60' (larger roll-out = more tire on the ground) and about the same final drive ratio.

The rear drag sway bar could help, especially with a car that heavy. You should work on throwing out some weight. - That's the boat I was in before. 4000lbs and running 11.7X's at over 120mph w/ 1.66 short times. The trans ratio and rear ratio vs the engine power band where translating to some funky numbers.

Stephen that new sig pic looks good. - Is that thing up and running with the 4-link?
