How well will 17x9.5 fit?

I have been looking at some gunmetal C5 wheels(cheap) and want to wrap them in 275 meat all the way around, i will probably use a 4th gen rearend and 2 inch spacers up front on my 86 TA, i want to know how it will fit up front, i know the back should be fine, any idea on how well it will clear?

Here is my car with 17x9.5 ZR1s. They are on a 2" spacer in the front and a 4th gen rear on the back...

Re: How well will 17x9.5 fit?

hey 91_5.7_TPI is yours lowered at all? do they rub at all now? I was thinking about c5 z06's on my vert but I have 1.8" (I think may be 1.6") drop spindles going on. It will have new struts and shocks and springs though.

Re: How well will 17x9.5 fit?

thanks guys. I need to take some better pictures. Mine is lowered on a Pro-Kit (see signature). It rubs on the left front when I turn the wheel locked left. It's not bad, but it's enough for me to not turn the wheel to lock unless I have to.

Re: How well will 17x9.5 fit?

pro kit is comparable to the drop I will have so I guess I will be in store for the same. is there anyway to clearence it? If you can please get some pics of it turned all the way left and right.

Re: How well will 17x9.5 fit?

Yea, I'll get some tommorow after work if I get off in time to do that and change the oil in the van. It is just rubbing on the plastic piece in the wheel well.

Re: How well will 17x9.5 fit?

thanks that sounds like it should be an easy fix. I wanted to use the c6 five spokes but if these are 17x9.5" and they rub the c6's may be more of a pita than they are worth.

Re: How well will 17x9.5 fit?

I don't think that a larger wheel will affect the fitment. What I'm trying to say is that the overall outside diameter of the wheel/tire should be very close and the width of the tire should be the exact same. I don't know for sure though.
Here are the pictures you asked for.

hehehe
