Kind of confused..

I am unsure if a smaller tire height is better or worse. I am too tired to figure it out the old physics way. lol But if someone could help me. I have 15 inch rims. with 235 width and 60 height. I am thinking of goin to like a 235/50 up front and 245/50 in back. I just wanted to make sure that going a lower height is better

Smaller sidewall will always ride rougher but will handle better.

and as far as speed is concerned, a smaller tire with accelerate faster, and loose top end, a larger tire will accelerate a bit slower, but have improved top end charge. with a difference of about a half inch or so, i see no problems

Re: Kind of confused..

The 50 and 60 are percentages (basically). A 235/60-15 tire is basically 235mm wide when mounted on a proper size rim, inflated to the proper pressure. The 60 means the sidewall height is 60% of 235mm when mounted on blah blah blah. The sizes are just a guideline as no two different brands of tires will be exactly the same even if they are labelled as the same size.
