1 inch drop
Im planning on dropping my car 1 inch by getting some moog replacements and cutting them. Will I need the lca relaction brackests and adjustable panhard bar with such a small amount of drop? Thanks in advance.

Why don't you just buy 1" drop springs? I would recommend the LCA relocation brackets, I get wheel hop going around corners with 1" drop springs. I would have them if I had more power than my V6 makes

NO need to relocate anuthing and buying a set of 1" drop springs is a smarter move. Thread Starter

Eibach has 1" V8 drop springs. I think I have Intrax V6 drop springs and I really like them.

If you're ONLY doing it for looks (and not doing any kind of performance driving), then you can get away w/ Eibachs - but for any kind of handling, they're a freaking joke. Do your own search here if you want to confirm that.
I've done what you initially suggested - got a set of replacement springs & took half a coil off of them. The disadvantages are that my springs aren't powdercoated some spiffy color, & I didn't get any cool stickers with 'em.
But considering the fact that I spent $60 instead of $200, I've somehow managed to live with it...

Re: 1 inch drop
If you use the moogs and cut them correctly, you will get withing a few lbs in spring rate as the Pro-Kit and have very near the same ride height... and have saved about $100. Don't forget new shocks when you lower as well. LCAs and PHB aren't really needed, but LCA relo brackets would be a good idea to return the geometery to where it was designed to be. Not saying that LCAs and PHB aren't a good idea, though.

91_5.7_TPI hit it right on the head - IMO, the panhard bar probably isn't needed, at just a 1" drop. The LCA relo brackets aren't strictly necessary, but they're not a bad idea at all. Thread Starter

Re: 1 inch drop
only reason I dont wanna have to do relocation brackets or panhard bar yet is because I am on a limited budget. All I am doing is springs and shocks/struts for the moment. When I get more money I will doo the lca relocations and phb. But Im doing it to replace my completely shot suspension. Its probably sagging more than an inch right now. Anyone got a pic of what the correct OEM ride height looks like? with the 215/65/15s

Re: 1 inch drop
Don't take my word for it, but I doubt you will notice a difference without the LCA relocation brackets in normal driving. However, if you do a burn out or if you have a posi and it locks going around a sharp turn, you will probably get wheel hop. My car was sagging about an inch when I put my springs in. I put them in and didn't really notice much of a difference in looks, until I put my new wheels and tires on with the correct tire size that filled the wheel well better (someone put 215/60/15s on the stock wheels).
