Panhard, Lower Arms, etc. specs?
Does anyone have a source of the specifications for the panhard bar and lower control arms? I'd like to weld up my own parts, rather than buy them. It's not that I think I can do better. Rather, it's a personal pride thing. I like being able to say that I did it myself.
What I'm looking for are the lengths, and the inner diameters of the tubes where the bushings are installed. So far, I haven't been able to find these numbers.

The source is called "your car". Not trying to sound like a smartass- just an honest from the hip answer. Its just as easy for you to do it as anyone one of us to just simply get a tape measure and measure the existing distance of your current mount points. If you can't do that, then I would not sugggest buiding some. Don't know what kind of answer you were looking for?

I was just hoping that there was an "official" document of those specs. For instance, I managed to get hold of a picture with all the frame measurements and specs, used by frame shops for checking and straightening frames. I was sort of hoping for that sort of a "shortcut."
Since I'll build the pieces to be adjustable, I was mostly hoping for the inner diameters of the bushing mounts. I'd love to take the time to build the pieces without disassembling the car first. I can drive it in the meantime.

Check on FRRAX.com. I believe a guy listed on there named "Jon" has spedced out some build it yourself arms using rodends and also the choice of threaded bushing ends.
I know what you mean about shortcuts and getting specs. Easier to have factual diagrams then to pull yours off to get widths, diameters etc.

The LCA's are 19 3/8" long. I'm making a set of my own. I'm using 3/4" rod ends, with a 3/4"OD 1/2"ID UHMW bushing to give it some "give". I have all my rear suspension parts laying on the ground right now, I might be able to get you some measurements. Poly bushings are in them right now though.
I used lefthander chassis as the source for parts. My LCA's are going to be very similar (identical) to 91_Z28's setup. I think that's his screen name at least, he showed how he made a set like that a few months ago.
