The headmans tuck up closer than the hookers. I've never personally run the hookers, so I can't speak for them, but I had no issues with my headmans and a 2" drop.
You would get more response on the exhaust forum.....

Re: Can I run long tubes...

The hooker long tubes tuck up nicely under the car. They are about even with the bottom of a stock k member or just slightly below a tubualr one. My car is pretty low and I never had issues with the headers. My clearance issue was with the exhaust where it dropped under the trans crossmember. My car also has 3.5" exhuast on it which dosen't help.

humm... Every other person w/ the Hooker LT's has complained of them hanging too low. From what I've read they hang a good inch below the hedmans, but that's why they clear the slave cyl on manual cars while the hedmans won't. - My car was manual, but I ran a (non-3rdgen)sfi bellhousing w/ the trans standing up straight and custom clutch linkage.
