Spohn or UMI SFCs?

I am about to order my SFCs (finally). I've heard all kinds of good things about both brands. From the pics that Spohn has, I'm not sure how the installation works for the front. Doesn't seem to be alot of area for welding.
Anyone have good pictures of this area?
Anyone had bad experiences with either product?

Re: Spohn or UMI SFCs?

I have Spohn SFCs on my car and they were VERY easy to install. Cant beat the clearance of them. They tuck up well against the floor and allow any exhaust.

That being said, Im also a die hard fan of UMI products. Everything else on my car is UMI, and they are top notch products. I just happened to buy Spohn SFCs before knowing the existence of UMI. But I dont look back on this, Spohn's are awesome.

Lemme try to find you a pic or two of the installation...

It doesnt show much but its the best one I have. It just welds in the pinch weld of the floor, and on the floor itself too.

Re: Spohn or UMI SFCs?

Thanks!
I was thinking that Spohns looked like they made for more clearance.
Is the underside of your car painted?
