Rear Traction Issues

Running a 88 I-Roc (4 Speed Auto) and seem to have traction issues.

I have to be super careful starting out other wise I spin the wheels, even when I'm going 20-25 MPH and punch the pedal the wheels spin.

I just got new higher end tires.

It's almost to the point that I want to add weights to the rear of the car inside the back side panels. I'm sure the forum wisdom can talk me out of this crazy idea?

Any advise welcome...

Re: Rear Traction Issues

What tires you have? Is the car modded engine-wise?

The tires are Toyo Proxes 4. (Brand new)
The engine doesn't have in any visible mods.

Re: Rear Traction Issues

The low temps don't help. The tires run colder and are harder in this weather.

Re: Rear Traction Issues

When did the problem start? Have you done anything to the car at about the time it has started doing this? Do you drive with a lead foot?

Could it be some bad bushings on the LCA?

youre car is a tork monster. 350 + tpi= torque= instant gratification.. and youre foots probably a bit heavy too. u may even have an aftermarket cam.
