spohn torque arm problem fixed

let me start off by saying that im not bashing spohn, he makes great products and i will continue to buy from him in the future. ive had his torque arm in my car for a long time now. its great and really solid. but ever sinse day one it has hit the floor pan in the rear area of the car. i know there are a couple of people on hear with the same problem. at first it was no big deal, i just figured it would clearance itself overtime. well this winter im doing some work on the back of the car and i saw that the floor actually had a small hole in it. so i figured id fix it the right way. i made a kickout and welded it to the floor so hopefully that will solve that problem. keep in mind when you look at these pics, im no fabricator. i did this in my garage with simple hand tools, a vise, some sheet metal and a small hobbist welder. let me know what you think.

Re: spohn torque arm problem fixed

I would say that is more than a clearance issue! I had a clearance issue on my 4th gen bmr torque arm. Only the bolt head hit and it only did once! but it did a dent the same area hard. That is when a 12bolt locks up at 50mph.
