C5 wheels on 91 T/A?

Hi, just got my new tires mounted on my new (used) c5 Wagon wheels, got my 2 inch billet spacers, went to put them on...and...The front wheels hit the freaking struts. I was told they fit, I have about $800 invested into this wheel/tire combo, and this is nuts. The fronts are the 17x8.5's the rears fit with the 2 inch spacers, coulda goine 2.5 inch or something, but they still fit/look good. The fronts just wont clear the strut. any ideas or what I need to do.

I dunno, I didnt really measure, I was just pissed. they arent just touching, they are a good bit away from even seating against the adapter, they are just c5 wagon wheels. I never did measure them, but was told they fit. I've got to much money in them to just not use these. the fronts are 17x8.5 c5 wagons. and they are hitting the strut.

This isnt a pic of my wheels, but mine are the exact same. I dont know if it matters, but they came with the gold centers, and have never found the gold center caps anywhere, not sure if maybe that means they are different or what.

Here is a sample pic.

I have those exact wheels on my car, with 2" spacers. They fit perfect.

Are yours OEM, or are they "repops"?

I've never heard of or seen gold center caps. Doesn't mean there aren't any. OTOH, might that mean they aren't OEM?

I ran those wheels on my formula with 2" spacers on the front and they had plenty of clearance.

Now the rears with my LS1 rear end required a 5/16" slip on spacer since it was really really close to the lower inner fenderwell, right near where the LCA bolts to the car.

Exactly guys, I researched before I bought them, and was sure they would fit with a 2" spacer, enough people have done it, so I figured it would be fine, I dunno weird though. I wonder if there is any way to tell if they are OEM or repops. The gold centers is what kind throws it off to me, To bad they are in poor shape (center caps) cause that would be kind of different. but I dunno guys. the rears fit good, my axle seems to be off to one side a little though.

Re: C5 wheels on 91 T/A?

A lot of GM wheels will have a "GM" cast into the wheel. My OEM ZR1 has it on the inner lip area, and the AFS repos have AFS on the inside of the spokes.
