I have a couple of questions about my cars suspension.... first off...i want to make my care handle like its on rails...i was wondering if it would be worth the time and trouble to put in a corvette indepentdent rear suspension? also, what can i do to help with the weight distribution of the car, lightening the front obviously, but i am looking at a c6 transaxle...again would it be worth the time and trouble? or could i just get aftrmarket parts, and handle just as good? if the difference is great then to me its worth it...if it will not be that much of a difference then no...i know that tird gen f-bodies have great handling to begin with as well...

if you have the time money and skills to swap in the corvette rear im sure it would work well, but if it not a hardcore race car, i would say its not worth the effort. A set of good springs and good shocks will work very well.

as for the trans axle, i believe you need the corvette independent rear to use that, plus the torque tube. a lot of work

 

well for the price that i an getting the corvette trans for... i cant let it go away... i will just change what needs to be changed to use it like a regular t56...
