Original ride height?

I am trying to find the original height (off the ground) of my 1987 Firebird. It seems to be a lot lower than the others I've seen? & bottoms out on everything. Can anyone help out please?

I 'believe' that ride height is 27 1/2".

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/imag...ies/iagree.gif Thanks for all the replies! My first ever POST....You're probably right BADMAN , i even tried a cheapo way out by buying a pack of those twist in spring helpers for about 10 bucks at Autozone, but, each spring twist was spaced to far apart for them to work as a temp fix. They just went completely between the twists? I was actually able to change the shocks and struts myself in the garage, but, im a little afraid of the springs, would'nt the rear end become "dog tracked" if it wasn't reinstalled perfectly? Don't know, just scares me a little... FYI.. I know you guys will say REDN**K, it was my graduation gift in 1987. I haven't had the heart to sell it, i just love it. Maybe it will last till my 4 yr old son is 16, if he can afford to drive it? Not many miles, it just stays covered in the garage.

The rear springs aren't indexed. You could have easily swapped them out when you did the shocks. The front springs ARE indexed and can, if indexed improperly, cause issues. A search would provide more info on swapping the fronts. While not terribly difficult, there is modicum of danger involved. (I was eyeing a spring compressor at a swapmeet and an older gentleman asked me how my dental plan was.)
