STILL CONFUSED ON 1LE SPARE
STILL CONFUSED ON 1LE SPARE
Hello...
I have a 1986 Trans Am. In 1999-2000, I was able to purchase all of the necessary original G.M. parts to install 1LE brakes on the front and rear of the car. Also. the original 1LE springs were still available then. I also installed a lot of the Hotchkiss parts that were available. Since then the car has sat covered in my garage unused. I had a accident and a long recovery but I am ready now to finish what I started. One thing that still bugs me is the confusion over what exactly does a real 1LE spare tire look like. I have the N64 aluminum spoke inflatable spare and a aluminum inflatable spare the looks very much like a steel wheel but it is aluminum painted black. Which one is correct???? I have read all of the posts listed that come up in a search of this site, but I am still not sure. Can anyone help??
Thanks
Bill
