anyone with J&M caster/camber plates, need help
anyone with J&M caster/camber plates, need help
So i installed my new koni's up front last week, into the original strut mounts, then i realized that the strut mount moves +\- 1/2" so i'm replacing them right now with new J&M camber caster plates, and i just realized that the original strut cover/ caps, the part that keeps stuff off the piston doesn't fit into the new mounts, with them on the shocks, they bootom out 1/8" before the strut actually gets all the way inside the new bearing. Sigh
so i have 2 choices make/ add a custom spacer to remove the slack,
or install without them and allow my shocks to get crap inside the seal and damage the piston.
what does every one else do to fix this????????

i guess i'll be contacting J & M i decided to just install them withount the dust covers for now..
turns out that the bearing on the right strut mount is new, and shot, it has up and down play in it.
they said life time warranty, so will see if they handle properly, i'll let you know how it turns out

nice, are they universal covers? i'll do a little research on it, after work, thanks for the reply,
J&M got back to me today, i explained my problem and they said they're going to send a new one out, good customer service/ support
i was afraid the koni's and the solid mount would kill the ride quality, but it actually rides way better than it did with the tockicos/ stock strut mounts, which were shot
