manual rack? and accessory drive?
Im looking to swap a manual rack into my 88 irocz. Anyone know what are all the cars that i can do a direct swap from?
What is all needed? Ive read just swap the gear box and supportig mods, but i have noone to trade so ima junkyard search.
Also could i just buy a steering box from say autozone?
Now to my accessory setup. i still have stock accessory setup. I want to run just the crank, alternator and waterpump and i need to know who does the cheapest setup.. I always thought march was fancy and expensive. Is there any setups i could junkyard off of?

Re: manual rack? and accessory drive?
For a manual rack there is no form of direct swap or any that are easy to install. Rack & pinion steering is tough to install on these cars w/o some fairly serious modification. - For manual steering you can just use an S10 manual steering box in place of the stock steering box.
All the info on either can be found easily with a search.
As for the brackets, there's tons of options. Do you want a "serpentine"(micro-v) type belt drive or just simple v-belt configuration? What do you have now? If serp, you can just buy the a/c delete pulley and run what you have. If v-belt, you simply drop the bracket(s) and belt(s) that you don't need.
