Tie rod flip?
Are the spindle mounts a tapered fit? Is it possible to fit them to the spindles from below instead from the top?
I've got maybe 1/8" clearance (sitting still), between mine & the 275s.
If I had 18" wheels, I could go deeper & they'd clear, but my 17"s are right at the tie rod end.

Re: Tie rod flip?
You're thinking backwards, they slip in from the bottom stock.
Yes, they're taper fit. You could drill them straight and have some straight by tapered bushing machined, but moving the tie-rods to the top would create rather drastic bump-steer. - Lowered cars actually need the tie-rods moved down further than stock to get the bump steer correct.

Re: Tie rod flip?
That's about the same amount of room I have. Not a single problem or issue. Been about 1 1/2 years like that. I have 17x9.5 +56mm ZR1s with 275s, had to use a 2 1/4" spacer. With a 2" spacer, I was hitting the tie rod.
If you really wanted to, you could grind the tie rod a little bit. But you should be just fine.

Re: Tie rod flip?
You will be safe with a hair more clearance.
Did you originally have factory spacers on the rear? If so they are approx 1/8". Add them to the front & you will be good.... thats what I did. See if you can find a set of these.

BUT....I actually have a BRAND NEW set, still in the original GM packaging. I can put those on. Thanks for the idea!

Have you checked what will happen to the scrub radius?

Re: Tie rod flip?
Just a thought; A bumpsteer kit with spherical ends would be thinner than stock tie-rods.
