Lowering Springs Raised Car

I just recently installed an EIbach Pro-Kit and Tokico Shocks and Struts on an 89 GTA. The back installed and sat just a little lower. In the front is where the issue came in. I installed them and it RAISED it a good 3". Before I could get one hand between tire and fender, Now I there is two. There is a 4-5" gap between tire and fender. I dont know what is going on here.

Any suggestions as to what is the issu?. I took it to get the front end aligned and they said everything was perfect no issues. It didn't even need an alignment. The car runs and drives fine although it sits really high and looks stupid.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Lowering Springs Raised Car

A couple things to check, is the spring in the right position? Is the rubber isolator in the right place? Compare to your old spring to make sure you got the right spring, you should be able to see the difference side by side.

Sounds like the springs were indexed incorrectly.

That's what I'm thinking. I did it to mine once...lol. Yeah, it was lifted.

Old but I will I updAte anyway. I didn't have it seated fully in the upper spring pocket. now it sits right. Hard to believe I rode like that for weeks and it didn't pop down to correct height.
