Well I have been redoing my iroc and took it out for the first time in 2 years and have a terrible pop / clunk sound when I'm driving. I will throw out my list of mods, maybe I have parts that don't work together or something. I have read and searched all about the torq arm & tranny mount. It clunks when you put it in gear, when you take off and anytime you make a throttle increase. Any imput in steering (probably powertrax) I don't like it already.

spohn adj torq arm spohn lca's & panhard bar
hotchkis 1" drop springs powertrax quiet lock & 4th gen rear

1-how do you check the u-joints?
2-the rear was from a 2001 just assumed it was ok. Bad move probably.
3-Already checked the brake parts... unless I am missing a something in the assembly

 

Im also tryin to locate a clunk/bang on acceleration,doesnt always do it.read this thread apply this theory to your trailing arms to if you have replaced them.

I havnt had a chance to do this yet,but i higly suspect this is the issue.cause it didnt do this before i haf this torque arm and trailing arms!!!

 

Thanks CoLT, good looking out. I am in the process of doing that. I did the bolt mod and it still clunks so now I am looking some sort of delron bushing and a machine shop to do the cutting. I will deff post either way good or bad. My car sways bad to when getting on or off the go peddle especially at highway speeds. I have that to deal with too.
