What are your 60' times?
What kind of 60' times are you running and what suspension mods are done?
I'm currently getting 1.75's with BFG drag radials, SFC's, LCARB's, boxed control arms with poly bushings and an adjustable torque arm. Otherwise, the suspension is bacically stock and set for everyday street driving. The car hooks very good at the track (the street is completely different!) but is a bit tricky to launch with manual trans and nitrous.
Any suggestions for improving my times without going to drag-only settings?

Adjustable shocks x2
They realllly help, atleast for my car they have.
Also with drag radials and a stick trying to leave off nitrous, its gonna be hard to do. You should look into ET street DOT slicks as they are much stickier and less picky on suspension setups. Fast drag radial guys are usually automatics and have really in tune suspension.
Whats your pinion angle setup? You can try more for more bite, but its harder on the rear end i guess.
My best 60 was 1.41 with my automatic 3600 stall 150 shot off the line in my 383. full bolt on suspension with the adj tq arm, adj shocks, lca's, relocation brackets for lca's set to bottom hole, and -2.5 degree pinion angle on the tq arm i think it was. maybe -3. ET street tires

2.2 60' lol... massive tire spinning on street tires nitto 555s and the dredded one wheel peel. gona be a whole new game with a ford 8.8 and new posi
i vote tires... get some good ET streets. and better dampners in the rear to help shift the weight.
hows that 9bolt holding up? mine had 135,000 and the posi was shot when i raced it lol. i was thinking of beefing it up but figured i would destroy it with 500hp and prob a 100-150shot

Re: What are your 60' times?
Thanks everyone. What type of adjustable shocks are you guys running- front and rear?
1.37's REALLY? That's really hooking up! I don't figure to get quite that low but hey every .01 comes off the et-right?
Yes Orr, it's a little tricky to launch this combo consistantly. Good point on the type of tires too. So far traction hasn't been the problem... not yet anyway but how the sidewall reacts may come into play as I get more agressive. Wanted to get to the track this weekend but couldn't. Maybe I'll have an update next week.
And the 9 bolt has held up well. No problems at all. I recently went through it installing a very low mileage posi, Motive 3.70 gear, all bearings, carrier studs and a TA girdle. I was very meticulous on the setup and installation. It's as strong as a 9 bolt can be from the available parts... I'll keep you posted if I have any problems.

Yeah i've heard alot of manual shift guys complain about drag radials and even mickey thompson doesnt recomment their radials for stick shifters. ET DOT bias ply is best choice and still street legal and doesnt require tubes. Trick is to put some rtv around the bead when installing them on the rim, and it will help keep pressure in the tires. Mine hardly leak at all
