raising the rear end

does anyone know what size springs i can put on the rear of my 87 iroc to raise it up about an inch. has anyone done this to give it a more aggressive look and have pictures. i want to do this because my 17x11s are rubbing the fenders.

Re: raising the rear end

moog iroc replacement rear springs will raise it a lot. If its too much you can trim them down a little.

Re: raising the rear end

Before trimming, mine sat at 28 5/8, way high, IMO (meausure your current ride height to see where the Moogs may put you). You might simply try swapping in a fourthgen isolator.

Re: raising the rear end

where did you measure to get a 28 5/8" height and also what is a fourth gen isolator? i am thinking of raising my rear for a more agressive look.

flat surface to fender lip (not the best way to measure).

Spring insulator/isolator.

Re: raising the rear end

put in a new rear end out of a 97 camaro. i used the springs and isolators that were on the springs from the 97 camaro. i wanted the rear to be a little higher to avoid fender rubbing and the 4th gen isolator gave me about an extra inch. ill take pictures of it tomorrow. thanks to jamesc for all the help
