lca's still not right

hey guys......I put about 1 inch of rubber under my rear springs at the top where they meet the body to see if it would make my lcas at least level but they are still to high in the back and the car is now sitting about right just slighty higher in the back than the front..It helped the ride and handling very much and took some of the wheel hop out (i boxed the lcas at same time not 100% if it was that or the springs or a combo of the 2)but i know i need to get them level or down a little in the rear but i wonder why there still up some in the back like something is off or is this common with all stock setup any help would be killer thanks guys(experts)...........

Re: lca's still not right

Is your car lowered? If so, that would cause your LCA angle to be off.
You could install lower control arm relocation brackets.

Re: lca's still not right

Rubber on the springs won't do much for the LCA angle.

How are your LCAs sitting right now? Rear higher than the front?

Re: lca's still not right

yea the rear is just a little higher than the front just enought to see and its all stock not lowerd any
(yet) but im getting wheel hop after i put in the powertrax. The lifting helped some but im wondering why their not sitting right and if something might be wrong im going to install lcarb's and put in sfc but im wanting to make shure something isnt wrong causing the lca to be leaning the wrong way now with a stock setup

20 yr old springs tend to sag some. So its very possible, that it is just a matter of worn springs.

Or a previous owner put in lowering/cut the springs & you just don't know.

The best bang for the buck would be a set of lower control arm relocation brackets. They would allow you adjust your Lower control arm more parallel with the surface and increase you traction and eliminate your wheel hop. If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be glad to help>
Below is a link to show you what we have to offer!

Re: lca's still not right

LCA relocation brackets! Unless you just want the rear higher in the air jacking up the rear to get the lca's right isn't the way to go. I have LCARB's, boxed stock lca's with poly bushings and SFC's and have NEVER had any problem with wheel hop. I set my lca's so they're about 1" lower in the rear than the front.

Do you have sub frame connectors? If not I recommend them. Not only do they make the whole chassis firmer but they may solve you hop issue.

Re: lca's still not right

I'd suggest getting new springs, before you add anything to "fix" the problem. Otherwise, your just putting a band aide on the car.

alright, enough of that

install new rear springs, if the rears are still higher up, put in LCARBS.
Subframe connectors wont help lower the rear of the LCA's, and if your frame is tweaked, get it straightened BEFORE you install the subframe connectors or it will be STUCK THAT WAY.
unless you have wrecked it though, i would venture to guess that the chassis is at least 90% ok.
if it tracks straight on a level road, then you are in the clear.
