front end bolt question
Just changed all the bushings in front end and checking everything.
I found on the drivers side where the sway bar bushing mount bolts to that bracket, the bolt facing down will not tighten. I acts like it is stripped. The bolt that goes in sideways above it is OK.
Is the one that won't tightenup bolting to frame or does it have a nut. There is no way I can get behind it to check it out. The frame and stearing box are in the way.

Re: front end bolt question
Yes there is a captured nut that is supposed to be there for the bolt to thread into. It is very tight, but you should be able to squeeze your finger in to feel it and hold it in place to get the bolt to thread into it. If it is missing get a grade 8 nut and slip it in.

Re: front end bolt question
Lon,
I have not been able to get at the nut. Is there anyway other than removing stearing box.

Check your PM.
Would like to chat some more about the bumper,
but not clog up this thread.
