i have aftermarket non adjustable lower control arms..i love them... much better traction and just feels better than the stockers. i was wondering would lower control arm relocation brackets benefit me any... my car is stock height and i thought these brackets were only needed for lowered cars...... i dont want to kill my handling for straight line performance... do these brackets give u better handling and traction or what.... are they worth it.... thanks in advance...

 

Mainly for lowered car, but MAY improve traction on stock height vehicles, because of the differently resulting angle in the rear suspension geometry.

I have a set of Spohn weld-on ones, I'd trade for a set of the UMI bolt-on ones.

 

thats what i thought.... i dont think its really going to help much on a stock height car if i already have better control arms and panhard bar.... i think the torque arm and the relocation upgrade would be much better and help out alot more anyways than the brackets would... i dont plan on ever lowering the car because of my pipes and alstons frame connectors scraping as it is... i couldnt beleive what a lowered car would do to them...

 

a couple of things to consider... you have stock springs in your car...are they sagging? is it lowered becuase of that? if you want, measure from the ground to the fender lip front and rear and post the numbers. Also, with the car sitting level, are the control arms angled up somewhat? (up meaning the front of the arm higher) those are more determining factors as to whether or not you might benefit from lcarbs.

 

Also take a peek under the car and see how your lower control arms are sitting (on a flat/level surface of course). Level with the ground or the rear slightly lower is ultimately where you want them. If the front mounting point of the control arm is sitting lower then the rear mount then the CAB would defiantly help.
