if they are that bad, i would not even consider racing the car, its a fail waiting to happen.

They will definitely affect your 60, when they break, the car will stop.

yeah they have been bad for a while now...i dont know how bad they are but every single time im coasting to a stop i hear this clank and metal sound and when at a stop when im putting it in gear you also hear the metal clanking sound... its very annoying.. i know its the u joints.. i have neapco brute forces now and will put them on next week... but since then my 0 to 60 has taken a huge dip... because when i accelerate hard i get this nasty vibration underneath.. i still have the stock u joints on there... they are probably low on grease and being 21 plus years old its time for new stronger ones.... its not the tranny mount because i checked it and its fine....

Are you sure? I have never heard of u-joints doing that. Are you sure your torque arm bolts are tight? That's the only other thing I can think of that would make that noise in that situation.

could be..... i already purchased my torque arm with a bmr unit anyway and got a bmr torque arm relocation crossmember to get the torque arm off the tailshaft and onto the crossmemberand install the new u joints all at the same time... so whatever it is im sure it will be gone within a week anyway after i install everything...
