Steering wheel wobble

Every once in a while, my steering wheel will start to wobble back and forth, usually moving up to an inch back and forth, then it will go away for a period of time and then start again. It especially likes to do it when its cold out. Any ideas?
Have replaced the tie rod ends, sway bar end links and mounts with polyurethane, and shocks. It has also been lined up not too long ago and its still doing it.

Re: Steering wheel wobble

Sounds like death wobble on a lifted Jeep, but I have no clue why a 3rd gen would do that.

Re: Steering wheel wobble

Maybe its a power steering thing???????

Use a turkey baster or suck the resivor dry with a hose and fill with new fluid.
Can only help having the fluid freshended up if its that or not.

Re: Steering wheel wobble

I'm not sure if this will help you. But every time I drove my car for the first time after being stored for winter (for about 6 months) I had this issue. And after the first drive, it never did it again the whole summer. It did this since I owned it.

Anyway, I noticed my idler arm was kind of sloppy. I put in a MOOG replacement and it has never done it again. Even for the first drive of the year. I'm not sure if a bad idle arm would cause this, but that's my story.
