I did some searching but couldn't find a definite answer.

I have 2 15x8 wheels that have 3.5" backspacing. I want to put 26x10 hoosier slicks on them, will I have any problem with them hitting the fender lip on a launch? Car is stock height.

 

Don't know what stock backspacing is, but my tires are 255/60/15. That is 27.10x10.10 (9 on ground) My rims are off an 88 Firebird and I have no problems whatsoever. My tires only stick out on the bottom, they tuck in the wheelwell nicely if you ask me.

Yeah those tuck in nice. I have no idea what stock backspacing is though.

 

I don't care if the the slick sticks out some, I'm most woried about it not rubbing on fender. I guess I will just have to try them and see I guess.

 

the wheel will stick out from the side of the car a little less than an inch, unacceptable in my book, looks kind trashy to me

you would be looking for 4.5" of bs for an 8" wheel to tuck it

Just in case anyone was wondering what it looked like, here's some pics. I think they would look much better with a 4.5 backspacing instead of 3.5
