K-member/a-arms/coilovers added clearance?
I searched, but most all of the pictures that I find are dead, 404 not found.
I want to do a tubular front end on my '90 formula to fab up a turbo kit.
How much more room will a tubular frontend/coilovers buy me?
Anyone have pics?
thanks in adavance!

I am also interested in upgrading to a 4th gen type power steering setup to free up some more room, but I guess I need to

the coil-overs wont buy you anything, they will actually loose you wheel/tire clearance.
the k-member will provide a considerable amount of extra exhaust clearance though.
4th gen steering? you mean rack and pinion? good luck, its a difficult fit, however spohn has a tubular k and rack and pinion setup, not sure how well its fits, never seen it used yet.

The fourth gen rack is wider than the third gens. The k member will give you alot of extra room and ours will drop 30lbs off the front. Here is a pic of our k member installed with our a arms for factory style springs. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Thanks guys! BMR is high on my short list of k members to buy....
I haven't decided whether I want a motorplate setup or I'm going to fab motor mounts.
I am going to put a 9.5" 351W SBF engine with victor sr heads and twin turbos in my '90 formula. I want it to stay a street car (high powered street car) and want it to handle well, brake well, and run well at the track. 8's on drag radials and drive it home type of deal.
One thing that would be interesting to me is to see whether or not the area reclaimed from the stock spring is enough to run some tubes through when you go to coilovers. As far as losing a little tire clearance, that's not a huge issue for me.
